Welcome to Durban

8 November 2017

On behalf of the province of KwaZulu-Natal, I have great pleasure in officially endorsing the inaugural Terminal Operations Conference (TOC) Africa and welcoming all its attendees to the City of Durban.

This world class trade exhibition and networking conference comes to our shores at a time when our country is undertaking enormous investment in expanding capacity of its major commercial ports to support the projected increases of cargo volume.

TOC Events Worldwide is reputed for hosting its shows in areas that are of vital importance to the industry and it is an honour that they have chosen Durban, South Africa’s main container gateway – with some R74 billion being invested into the new King Shaka International Airport and terminal facilities – as the most suitable venue for this prestigious conference.

We look forward to hosting of the conference, which will bring together delegates involved in logistics, liner shipping, ports, terminals, inland transport, equipment manufacturers to discuss improving trade flows across the African continent.

We have no doubt that our hosting of this important conference will help to bring physical expression to the “Africa Rising” narrative by enabling Africa’s ports and port cities to contribute to Africa’s growth and development agenda.

We hope you enjoy your time here at TOC Africa and we look forward to joining you for some insightful discussions in the two-track conference, along with exploring the products and services on offer within the trade exhibition.
